Dont expect it to live up to the first two movies since it was done by a different director. I think it was that guy who directed XXX with Vin Diesel or sumtin and some other inane action movie that you forget about after 5 minutes. The script is hella weak and the plot is very shallow. Action/fight scenes look played out and could have been much better. So why 3 stars? Well, its because it delivers what it promises. Its just your basic adventure movie with some cool CGI and some pretty good locations. It doesn't present itself as anything other than that. So being that its just an honest action/adventure movie meant to take you on a ride for a couple of hours or so, it succeeds in its purpose.

I wanted to give the movie a lower rating but since Angelina Jolie was freakin hot in this one I had to give it at least 3 hehe. Sure it was really action packed but c'mon. Bending bullets?!? Really? I mean how stoned do you have to get to think of something like that. Bullets hitting each other?! That doesn't even happen in comic books. The plot and story was very shallow as well. Its like they forced the story to comply with the twist ending which we could all see a mile away. Despite those drawbacks though, it was still enjoyable to watch. Its not like I had to get out of my seat because it was so terrible. Besides, watching Angelina Jolie kick some ass ain't so bad. My only regret though, is having to fork over movie money to see it when it would have been enough to have just watched it on DVD.

Good but not great. Hella fun though. Special effects weren't really top notch, story was piss poor but hey, if you just wanna have fun then this movie will work for you. Will Smith is his usual cool self. Charlize Theron is totally hot as always while Jason Bateman is funny as hell. A friend of mine almost got into a fight twice in one night after having watched Hancock. Na pump up daw siya eh haha. So there. 3 stars for a pump up movie.

Ok, its over. I've just seen the best ever super hero movie made. All succeeding super hero movies will just look shabby in comparison to this masterpiece. I don't even wanna say that its just a super hero movie, it is so much more than that. The plot is really deep and thick that you wanna see a novel come out from it, so you can really sink you teeth in it. You thought the first one was dark? Prepare for more in this sequel. Darkness aside, it also provides us with characters that we can really relate and identify with. Each character really contributed to the story of the movie. Heath Ledger will probably be getting an Oscar nomination for his joker portrayal. I would say that his joker was even better than Jack Nicholson's. The writers really gave the actors a lot more to work with as compared to the first one. I think what sets this movie aside from all other super hero movies is the way it presents the human psyche. All aspects of human psychology seems to be represented. Its not just the good guys vs the bad. The Joker is the ID, Harvey Dent the ego while Batman is the Super ego. Add o that the various human experiments that the Joker pulls, and we get a peak as to how society is today. Anyway, I can probably rank this movie in my top 10 or 20 best movies of all time. And I can pretty much see myself becoming a Batman nuthugger from here on.

Much much better than the Ang Lee version. More action, less drama boohoo and Norton does another good job as Bruce Banner. Gotta love those Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno and Robert Downey cameos. Hulk Smash FTW! Can't wait for that Avengers movie.

Wasn't able to see the original so I can't really compare this remake. Anyway, since Steve Carell (one of my favorite comedians) was in it, I decided to see the movie. It starts out strongly but kinda tapers off towards the end. Carell is funny as always, but it seems like he wasn't really given enough material to play with as well as other actors to play off of. The old guy from little miss sunshine was pretty good though. And if your gonna get Anne Hathaway as the hot love interest, you might as well put her in more hot scenes. She kinda bored me in the movie. Anyway, 3 starts for being good but not great.

I grew up watching the Indiana Jones series and I can tell you that those movies fueled much of my playtime adventures in the backyard. In terms of social relevance, Indiana Jones probably ranks just a notch lower under the Star wars series. SO anyway, the new movie definitely lived up to the hype. It might not be as great as the past films but this new one certainly delivers. Its good to know that today's generation will have their own Indiana Jones movie to fuel their imagination.

Hard core fans might like this one, but for me, a casual Speed racer fan, it didn't really float my boat. I didn't like the fact that they practically shot the whole film in front of a blue screen. The movie was way too colorful and kinda hurt my eyes. It was pretty long as well. I think little kids might like it, although they have no idea who speed racer is.

Another Marvel movie unfaithful to the comic book series. Robert "White Powder" Downey Jr. cast as Tony stark? (Well if you read the comic he's not the first guy that comes into mind when you think about Tony Stark). 2 hours and 15 minutes for an action movie?

Well, despite those knocks the movie still delivers pretty well. Although i wouldn't have minded a longer battle scene with the Iron Man suit ver. 2.0 protptype. I thought this movie was gonna be another Marvel flop, (Fantastic 4 two, Ghostrider, Daredevil anyone?) but I thought it was pretty cool. Fight scenes were good, special effects were top notch and you gotta love that mechanical suit. Sort of reminded me of how transformers transformed. Director did a good job in casting good actors for the movie, Downey Paltrow, that dude from hustle and flow and Bridges are all respectable actors which brought something to the table to improve the movie. There may be hints for a sequel (War machine suit might go to dude from hustle and flow, mention of S.H.I.E.L.D.) I'll definitely see it if they make another one. Score 1 for Marvel, lets see if D.C. does good on the upcoming Batman.

Transformers = Gold.No not even gold, its platinum! Ive been waiting for this movie to be made ever since I was a kid. There was a animated movie back in the 80's but that was kinda corny. Anyway, this new one certainly surpassed my expectations. I was on the yahoo movie boards, and a lot of people have been putting it down. Dont listen to anyone putting the movie down, they are probably those uptight movie nerds or 40 year old geeks that collect transformer toys without taking them out of the box. I was a fan of the cartoons ever since I was a kid, and I understan where they are coming from. There are a lot of glaring differences from the cartoon series to the movie (ex. bumble bee was a beetle now he's a camaro).But I can forgive the movie for veering away from the cartoon storyline. Everybody will tell you about the movies faults but you know what? It just fucking works! Even if it feels like a big ad for GM, filled w/ a lot of cliches and 2 hours and a half long, It still works! What every Bay did it was for the better. This movie is gonna blow your mind away its fucking cool it will make your head explode. Forget all the pretentious shit, sit in the theatre, eat your popcorn put your arms around your girl and WATCH. I promise you'll enjoy. Me and my brother were almost shitting ourselves with all the jaw dropping scences and colective coolnesss of the movie. Its action packed, very exciting, great cinematography and the effects dont dissapoint. Think of that scene in star wars where yoda fights that old dude, or the sith fights quai gon jin, or anakain fighting obi wan, but picture that happening throught the whole movie, with a large dose of comedy inserted in. If your looking for 40 foot robots beat the shit out of each other, then this is your movie.
P.S. You are going to be saying OH SHIT/ HOLY SHIT a lot in this movie.

The ultimate cliche' movie. Yung 2 bida nag LQ tapos nagkabalikan. Yung kalaban naman kunyari masama, kakaibiganin ng bida tapos magiging mabait tapos isasacrifice sarili para sa mga bida. Complete with a resurrection of the previous kontrabida na kunyari kakampi na sa bida but everyone knows will stab the bida in the back. YAAAWN. I've seen this storyline about a hundred times already. Fans of the comic book should stay away from this movie. The silver surfer had so much character potential but was basically a robot. Heck even C3PO was more interesting. The movie really messed up such a cool character just like they did in ghost rider. I just hope the transformers wont be butchered up and packaged as another cliche' movie like the not so fantastic 4 2

more or less as good as the first one and way better than the second one. ocean's 13 is definitely a movie you will wanna watch. The story, comedy, pacing and writing is a mile away from ocean's 12. The movie is lighter in terms of big name actors appearing in it compared to the second, but who needs them anyway. We just wanna see devious ways how to cheat big casinos and how to pull off grandiose heists in style. Ocean's 13 is less complicated than its predecesor and sticks with the tried and tested basics, the good guys always triumph over the douche bags.

Another great novel by Dan Brown. This ones about a meteorite thats discovered by NASA and is held to be the proof that extra terestrial life exists. The president of the U.S. is about to go public with this news to bolster his run for re-election. His opponent, backed by privatized space companies has been pummeling him in the polls until this event. But since this is a Dan Brown novel, expect a lot of cover-ups, hoaxes and twists in the story that will make you read this book till the wee hours of the morning. The heroine in this one is a mid 30's NSA agent that works with the white house and she just so happens to be the daughter of the president's opponent. Anyway its a really good book the usual that you can expect from dan brown, It doesent let down.

If you liked da vinci code and angels and demons, If u like computers and all things "techie" you will like this book. Of course I dont consider myself a techie person at all, but still, I sort of got the message the book was trying to convey. Its got twists ad turns althrought the book and the familiar fast paced narration of Dan brown (how come whenever I read his book i always picture them into movies) The story rolls at a break neck pace and is quite intrigueing. In a nutshell, Its about a war of wits between the NSA ( a government agency tasked with pilfering U.S .emails and communications in hopes of thwarting an attack on the US) and a rogue computer whiz that used to work for them who is against this kind of invasion of privacy. Of course you have to throw in the beautiful and extremely smart heroine plus helpful leading man vs dastard antagonist plus henchmen and that guy who you think is the bad guy but turns up to be innocent. the usual stuff. Again I must mention Dan Browns talent in writing to pull off these stuff because hell, IT WORKS.

2 words....."natalie portman" hehehehe by virtue of her inclusion in this film (plus the bonus of her portrayal of an "adult" role, this movie automatically gets 5 stars, no ifs and buts about it, thats just how the universe works. It supposedly had a scene where she was in the buff but was cut out by the director (DAMN YOU). Kidding and perversity aside I thought the film was well done and had a refreshing theme, none of that rehashed boy meets girl falls in love, made to be separated by an antagonist, then true love reigns, they get back together and live happily ever after. Well, this film aint it. Finally, a movie that portrays love into something closer to real life. Girls, watch it, jude law is in it, Guys, watch it, natalie portman wears a thong in it. No really, It has a good story.....and nice dialogue....(must forget about natalie portman)....

It was a pretty good film considering it being a "kid movie"
I have this bias against children's films because I dont like them. Hehe nobody gets killed and
everyone laways lives happily ever after. Anyways, Robot's main attraction are its stunning
visuals the movie's special effects were top notch. The second attraction are the voice talents
in the film. Halle berry, ewan mcgregor, drew carey and robin williams make the movie sound
and feel better. Robin williams as always carries the comedy load of the film and does so splendidly
All in all I think this is a good sunday morning movie, one you can watch with your family or your kids
after church or whatever it is you guys do on sundays to relax.

Dunno what all the fuss is about this movie i thought it was a such a long drag, it could have been don in an hour in a half but it feels like the movie went on for about four hours hehe..Thats what I get for watching a movie with leonardo de caprio in it. Titanic anyone? yuck. haha. Anways, the movie is about howard hughes and i really dont think he's interesting enough to make a movie out off. I mean he's just a spoiled rich kid that inherited millions from his parents with an obsessive compulsive disorder/ germophobe. Whats so great about him? Well ok, so he owned TWA, but arent there so many other millionaire/billionaires out there who were SELF MADE and more interesting? and did i mention he was played by leonardo di caprio? yuck anyways I didnt like the film it was borring as hell and leo, being the main character just made things worse. Why the hell did this movie get so much acclaim from the oscar academy?

( by the way, charlize theron won an oscar for that movie) go from oscar quality movies
to trashy good for nothing horror flick. I mean, this wasnt even a scary movie!..I felt like I
watched a pinoy horror flick with american actors. Story was such a cliche and it was waaay
stupid. Heres the jist: brother sister orphaned, girl falls in love with a shady guy
who has commitment issues and who also turns out to be a werewolf. People get killed by some
bizaare animal attacks and brother and sister get into a car accident. A girl gets killed
they get bitten by the werewolf so they in turn become werewolves blah blah blah Guy werewolf
turns out to have infected some crazy bitch ass girl and she planned to kill all women who
fell in love with that guy so she can have her for herself. Ricci and brother kills crazy
werewolf girl, then wants out of he werewolf club. Guy werewolf doesent want that because
he's looking for a steady werewolf girlfriend so they fight and drum roll please.. he get killed
end of story. What kind of brain thinks of a freaking story like that!? jeezus If they were
going for that b-movie type werewolf flick they should have at least included some gratuitous
violence and gore plus a good serving og sex and nudity. But nooooo the director was having none
of that, he'd rather have a lame ass gay horror movie that sucks ass. What good is a werewolf
movie if you dont see a wolfman tearing up humans like wet paper? All i saw was a werewolf
throwing people around sheesh. I wish I could give this movie zero star but ill give it a 1
since it got me to laugh a few times.

Its about two friends one, a washed up actor who's not even a has been but was a never was and the other, a depressed divorced wine obsessed struggling writer/teacher. He's the brains in this outfit and the actor is the immature funny ladies man. Anyways he's about to get married to a hot armenian chick (if such a girl exists) and takes a week vacation to california wine country with his best bud MR depreso baldo writer. He's off to get laid (and does so) while his friend breaks down after learning his ex wife remarries and wil attend his best friend's wedding. Anyways thats were the adventure starts and eventually they both find their paths, actor back to his fiancee while bald guy falls in love with a new woman. This movie got great reviews from a lot of critics in the US and i think it was overhyped a little bit i mean it was a good film and it wasnt a blockbuster movie budget but they make do and were able to produce a quality film. It was good but it wasnt THAT good. It was very endearing movie with endearing characters. The actors were great and they really got their characters down to pat, so you cant help but feel for them. I liked this movie because of its little movie appeal unlike those big budget holywwod drama films which elicit no feelings at all. When you watch this movie you actually experience some emotion after you leave the cinema

KICK ASS MOVIE just about sums it up.. Im pretty sure 90% of all the ladies out there are gonna watch this movie because keanu reeves is in it but thats ok coz at least your boyfriends wont get bored because this film is action packed it was waaay coool. Effects were great, story was top notch nothin cheesy or too over the top. Lets not get into the acting coz we all know keanu is only good for looking hansdome in his films (that makes up for his lack of acting skills) but anyways this is a really fun movie to watch. Basically its about hell vs heaven with keanu right smack dab in the middle kinda having a spawn-ish vibe with beeing to hell and coming back to earth with a return trip ticket to hell. anyway he kills demonz to try and buy his way into heaven. Now enough talk and go and watch it
